Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in response to Arun Jaitley's public address in Samba said Jaitley should be commended for his frank admission that no distinction is made by the forces between militants and stone pelting civilian protestors as both are dealt in a similar manner, by killing maiming and torturing them .He said while it doesn't shock us and vindicates what we have been saying, it beings to fore the anti human and anti Kashmir approach and totalitarian mindset of the ruling regime towards the people of Kashmir.Welcoming the statement of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General, Iyad bin Amin Madan regarding the deteriorating human rights and political situation in Jammu Kashmir besides accepting its disputed status that needs to be resolved as per the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris, Mirwaiz said that the OIC comprising of 57 Islamic countries should urgently send a delegation here to witness our plight and all member states should collectively put pressure on India to stop the oppression and solve the issue.
Expressing grief and sorrow over the brutal killing of yet another youth, Irfan Ahmad of Fateh Kadal at Malarata area of Shehar-e-Khas in Srinagar, Mirwaiz said as the oppression will keep mounting, we have to brace ourselves for facing more and more hardships in coming days and it is only our faith in Almighty Allah, the justness of our struggle and the sacrifice of our martyrs that will us the courage to move on. He said each one of us both in our personal and professional capacity have to do our bit in helping the movement and supporting each other.Meanwhile Hurriyat (M) spokesman strongly Condemned the desecration of a Gurudwara in Ashmuqam area by the Indian forces, he said on one hand Indian authorities were leaving no stone unturned to humiliate people of Kashmir and on the other hand were desecrating sacred Masjids, shrines, Gurduwara and Imambaras across the Valley. The spokesman said Indian forces along with police are arresting the youth from all areas during daytime and in nocturnal raids and more than 1000 boys have been taken into custody and are harassing their family members which reflects their frustration and high handedness.
