The Chari Mubarak of Annual Machail Mata Yatra today reached Kishtwar amidst chanting of bhajans and religious slogans.
The Holy Mace was accorded rousing reception by the people as it passed through Kishtwar town for onward journey to the night Halt place at Gori Shanker Mandir Sarkoot.Thousands of devotees including women and children paid obeisance to the holy Chari of Maa Chandi by offering flowers. The devotees sought blessings of Maa Chandi and prayed for the well being of nears and dears.Various organisations and individuals have arranged free Langer for the convenience of the yatries all along the yatra route. The district administration have also made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of the yatries including boarding, lodging water, electricity, Medical and security at halt places enroute to the Machil Paddar.
Later the yatra left for Atholi where it will stop for a night halt and leave for Massutomorrow early morning. During the 32 km foot journey from Atholi to Machail, the Chari Mubarak will leave from Massu to Chasoti on August 21 and after night halt there it will leave for Machail on August 22 mornings. The Yatra will reach Machail in the evening and on August 23after performing the Havan and Jagrata at the holy Shrine the Yatra will start its backward journey to Kishtwar on August 24.
