EJAC condemns killing of lecturer at Khrew

Urges Govt to put a strong curdle on innocent killings

The EJAC President Abdul Qayoom Wani has strongly condemned the killing of innocent Lecturer Shabir Ahmad Mangoo of Khrew Pampore and has declared this custodial killing as an eye opener for the conscious citizens with human heart. 

In a statement issued to KNS, he said that the killing of innocent citizens shall not be tolerated at any circumstances. He said that an open court enquiry be conducted to punish the security forces involved with this cold blooded murder. 

Wani strongly protested on such killings, he urged the government to put a strong curdle on the innocent killings and excessive use of forces on civilians. Wani strongly criticized the recent circular regarding the duties of employees issued by the government where under employees are harassed for attending their duties. He said the circular is quite contrary to the ground and prevailing situation in the valley. He said that the govt. should not issue such circulars and should not target the employees having no fault. Abdul Qayoom Wani also condemned the attack on the ambulance and its driver by the security forces at Safa Kadal Srinagar, while protesting on the issue Wani said that such acts have caused sense of insecurity among the employees. He hailed the employees of Medical Department on the whole who put their lives on stake to save the lives of thousands of injured patients in the valley. (KNS)
