The soul of Changes and Haulage will be ashamed on seeing how Indian security forces have made it their routine to shed the blood of Kashmiri youth wantonly on streets and lanes of Kashmir. Hashim Qureshi put a question to the conscientious people of India who are the followers of the principles of Mahatma Gandhi who had said that if Kashmir decides not to remain with India, then India minus Kashmir will survive with her head held high with principles dear to her. The security forces of same India are blinding and wounding Kashmiri youth everywhere with pallet guns and tear gases.JKDLP Chairman Hashim Qureshi expressed deep sorrow and anguish on the killing of five youth in Beerwa Budgam by the security forces and wounding thousands others. He appealed to those believing in humanism that this mass massacre should be stopped forthwith failing which the sub-continent could be threatened with a whole scale war which would cause destruction and death to millions of people.
The sub-continent will be deprived of s prospect of development and progress. Hashim Qureshi demanded immediate stopping of the use of pallet guns by the security forces and also stopping of night raids under the plea of detaining stone throwers. He demanded that detained Youth should be freed immediately. Security forces should be withdrawn from streets and lanes. He appealed to the people not to damage the ambulance vans of hospitals. He implored the people to deal with care and affection with the sick and wounded who are taken to the hospitals for treatment. He said that only the flag of freedom should be waved and not any other flag.
He also said that only the slogan of azadi should be raised and other slogans should be avoided. He implored the people to take care of one another and also take into account the interests of daily wagers like petty shopkeepers, auto drivers, transporters, and street vendors who depend on their daily income for supporting their families. He said that freedom struggle could stretch over a long period of time. This necessitated planning of the freedom movement. Hashim Qureshi warned that if proper planning of the movement was not undertaken this time, our problems could multiply. This necessitates keeping eye on destructive elements and oppressors of people as well. He expressed sympathy and unity with the kith and kin of the martyred people. He shared the pain and suffering of those who have been wounded in these disturbances. (KNS)
