Expressing concern and anguish over instances of damage to certain residential houses by some miscreants and sectarian forces in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, Hurriyat (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq Saturday said that while entire Kashmiri nation was united and offering great sacrifices together to take the resistance movement forward, some elements were trying to create rift and mistrust among communities. Mirwaiz appealed to all people to stay vigilant of such designs and foil them at all costs and display brotherhood and amity which is the strength of our movement.Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) spokesman ridiculing the statement of PDP leader Muzzafar Beigh regarding the role of Madrassas in the people's struggle for the right of self determination said that people like Muzafar Beigh are vultures who feed on the sacred sacrifices and sufferings offered by the people, for fulfilling their petty personal ambitions.
The Spokesman said that such lies and misleading assumptions about the freedom struggle by Beigh are simply aimed at getting into New Delhi’s good books so that the masters in Delhi coronate him as the chief minister of the state, an ambition he has been nurturing for years.The Hurriyat said that since 1947 hapless Kashmiris have unfortunately not only suffered immensely at the hands of Govt. Of India’s intransigence and military might but have equally suffered due to the machinations of such unscrupulous elements within their fold like Beigh and his ilk. (KNS)
