Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Phase 2 organized ‘Keep Your Surroundings Clean Drive’ under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in phase-2 Mohali. More than 50 NSS volunteers, NCC cadets and Rotaractors of Rotaract Club GJIMT actively participated in the drive. During the drive students took the pledge to keep surroundings clean, green and healthy& student went to adjoining parks and cleaned that park. After cleaning the garden students also painted it .Later, Awareness rally was also organized by the students.
Students were motivated to plant and care trees to keep the surrounding neat and clean with the massage of manual work instead of using fully automatic machines to save the environment. They were also taught to spread this awareness amongst their family members and friends and later took . While speaking at the moment Chairman, J.S.Bedi said that this drive included the habit of hygiene, cleanliness and appreciation of the value of good, clean and hygiene living.Director ,Gian Jyoti Institute of Management ,Aneet Bedi appreciated the efforts of the students. According to her poor hygienic conditions lead to health and environmental disasters so urged them to pay special attention for cleanliness.
