Rejecting the Indian Home Ministers repeated Pakistan bashing, Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani said that India has never accepted and tolerated the existence of Pakistan and always blaming it for the uprising in Kashmir. He said that from the day one of birth of Pakistan, India has been trying its best to destabilize it and it was because of India’s conspiracy and its military invasion which give birth to Bangladesh in 1971. Syed Ali Geelani said that India’s imperialistic mindset doesn’t want to listen to the azadi thunders in the streets of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He further said that Kashmir issue a globally recognized international dispute with India signatory to it and along with India, Pakistan too is basic and important stake holders and it has every right to ascertain and establish their right to intervene.

Commenting on the old rhetoric of Sang Parivaar that talking on Kashmir means talking about POK, Syed Ali Geelani said that these unrealistic utterances have no takers even in India itself. Now peace and freedom loving people in India also suggest you to come down to ground zero and face the reality. Geelani Sahab further said that every street in Jammu and Kashmir is flooded with people, they are not from Pakistan, more than six lakh people since 1947 have sacrifices their lives and almost all of them belong to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. To misguide and deceive your own people instead of acknowledging these bare facts you always blame Pakistan because your dirty politics thrives on Pakistan bashing.

Terming the recent discussion and debate in parliament as a mere drama Syed Ali Geelani said that these political gimmicks by India has been going on for the last seven decades and they are just a futile exercise and will yield nothing except consuming the time of media channels.

Reiterating his stand, Hurriyat (G) chairman said that unless India accepts the disputed nature of Jammu and Kashmir and starts demilitarization, peace in and around this region is a distant dream. India with its might and power can have the silence of graveyard here but it will never ever succeed to wipe away the freedom sentiment from us. Regarding the widespread arrest spree throughout the state, Syed Ali Geelani said that more than 70 people mostly from South Kashmir have been slapped PSA, but quickly added that such undemocratic and uncivilized tactics have been used by India and state government for last so many decades, they could not deter us from our goal in the past and can’t do so in future as well.Commenting on the reports that one secretary Technical Board Mehmood Ahmad Khan is forcing Polytechnic students to attend the classes and appear in the examination, Syed Ali Geelani asked this bureaucrat that its pity on your part as you are hailing from the same locality (Tral), how can you betray and compromise on the sacrifices of your own people. He further advised Mr. Khan not to isolate himself from the people on the streets as they are for your azadi as well. (KNS)
