Chief Secretary reviews progress of projects under PMs Development Package

Chief Secretary, B R Sharma Thursday  chaired a meeting with Administrative Secretaries here, to review the status of projects included in the Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP).Chief Secretary received brief from the concerned Administrative Secretaries, over the steps being taken by the concerned departments, in the execution and completion of the projects approved under PMDP.The Rs 80,068 Cr development package announced by the Prime Minister, during his visit to the State on 7th November, 2015 includes Rs 7854 Cr for Flood Relief, Reconstruction and Flood Management, Rs 42611 Cr for Road and Highway projects, Rs 11708 Cr for Power, New and Renewable Energy projects and Rs 4900 Cr for various Health sector projects.The package also includes Rs 2600 Cr for Human Resource Development, Skill Development and Sports projects, Rs 2241 Cr for Tourism projects, Rs 2312 Cr for Urban Development projects, Rs 5263 Cr for Youth Employment projects and for Rehabilitation of Kashmiri Migrants, families from Chhamb and PoK besides Rs 529 Cr for Agriculture and food processing projects and Rs 50 Cr for the Pashmina promotion project. Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) is periodically reviewing the implementation of PMDP with the State Government officials. A high level meeting in this regard is scheduled for 13th of August-2016 at New Delhi.
