While cautioning the people especially youth about the conspiracy of appointing thousands of SPO’s, Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Sunday said that this fresh recruitment drive is nothing but to revive the notorious “Ikhwan” culture in the state who in mid 90’s wiped away almost a whole hatchery of freedom loving people throughout the valley. In a statement issued to KNS, Geelani said that “puppet government” is least bothered about the employment and welfare of the Kashmiris. “They just want to strengthen the Indian rule and to do so they create such local forces to give the impression that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is managed and controlled by the Kashmiris themselves and in case force is used only Kashmiris will be killed in either side,” he said.He said that 8 lakh army with the help of local forces have failed to curb and contain the freedom sentiment of the people for almost 7 decades and now in the last one month killings, bloodbath and massive peaceful protests in every nook and corner of the state demanded the serious and positive approach from the Delhi Darbar to address the core issue in its originality but imperialistic forces always rely on their might and Indian rulers did the same today as well by calling more troops to crush the ongoing movement.Geelani appealed the youth not to be misled by the false and cosmetic tactics of the “puppet regime” as these are just to hoodwink the global powers whom they try to convey that it’s the local forces that are in total control here in the state.

Hurriyat (G) chief congratulated the Hajj pilgrims for their holy mission but requested them no to start their sacred mission by meeting and shaking hands with government and political personalities who’s hand are soaked in fresh blood of our innocent youth. He appealed them that at least show your maturity this time and uphold the moral values and ignore these killers at the time of departure and arrival of your holy journey.Geelani further requested them for special prayers during Hajj for Islam and Azadi of their oppressed nation. While reiterating his appeal for making success tomorrows Hurriyat programme, he said all the roads towards and around Civil Secretariat Srinagar, District and Tehsil offices throughout state should be blocked and it should be ensured that no employee is able to attend the office. “The Deputy Commissioners and all heads of the institutions are directed to desist from threatening their employees on phones to resume their duty,” he said.Meanwhile Geelani telephonically addressed a huge rally at Samboora Pulwama wherein he stressed the need of unity and discipline in this crucial juncture and he appealed people especially youth to follow joint Hurriyat programme strictly. He further said that this movement may prolong and advised nation to be steadfast and prepared for more harsh days to come.
