Panchayats And Officers To Get Special Training-Rakhra

The Punjab Government has decided to impart Special Training to panchayats in Punjab and officers concerned with Panchayats and their functioning. The Training would be imparted in the month of February and March.Disclosing this here today, Surjit Singh Rakhra, Rural Development and Panchayats Minister said that in this Special Training Program more than 48000 representatives of Panchayats and officers would be participated, who would get the training on block level. The Minister informed that the Resource Persons of State Rural Development Institute would impart training to Sarpanches, Panches, Block Samiti, Zila Parishad chairmen and members besides officers through block level training camps. He said that Rs. 20.54 crore has been set aside for this training program. The Minister also exhorted the elected representatives of Panchayats, Block Samitis, Zila Parishads to actively participate in these block level program for proper implementation of rural schemes and to witness world class development in the rural belts of Punjab. He said that experts from NABARD and Co-operatives and Panchayats would also give their valuable views.
