The Punjab Government today deputed G.K.Singh IAS as the Director of Rural Development and Panchayats department.Disclosing this official spokesperson of the Rural Development and Panchayats department said that Mr. G.K. Singh was recently working on the post of Joint Director-cum-Commissioner MGNREGA. Besides working as the commissioner of Ludhiana he also worked as Deputy Commissioner of Ropar and Patiala districts. Mr. G.K.Singh played a pivotal role in starting the publication of “Sadde Pind” magazine of the Rural Development and Panchayats department. Mr. Singh is well known literary figure in the literary circle of Punjab. He played leading role in launching the famous children magazine “Balpreet” from Patiala.
