Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Tuesday said that ‘occupational authorities at the behest of so-called PDP-BJP government’ have imposed ban on meetings with incarcerated chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik who is languishing in central jail Srinagar. In a statement issued to KNS, JKLF spokesman said that some relatives of JKLF chief went to Srinagar’s central jail to meet with the incarcerated JKLF chairman but were not allowed to meet him stating that Malik has been banned from meeting anyone.JKLF spokesman while strongly condemning this ‘dictatorial order of the so-called rulers’ has said that ailing JKLF chairman was arrested by police on 8th July 2016 from his residence and after keeping him in police custody for 19 days when his health deteriorated, he was taken to a hospital where doctors advised authorities to admit in the hospital.“Authorities instead of providing him proper medical care shifted him back to police station from where he was shifted to central jail Srinagar,” he said.Spokesman while terming the ban on meetings with Malik as most ridiculous and dictatorial act of the rulers and their authorities and said that “an ailing leader has been put behind bars illegally, he is being denied any medical facilities and now is being denied meetings with his kith and kin.”He said that “All this is a glaring example of the frustration and undemocratic attitude of the so-called rulers who on daily basis speak about democracy and ethics but are actually ruling Jammu Kashmir militarily and have turned this land as a police state.”Spokesman said that jails, tortures, and hardships are not new for JKLF chairman and jails are like a second home for him, but callous rulers who by these anti-Kashmiri acts want to prove their loyalty with Delhi and Nagpor should remember that if Malik’s health is endangered in any way and any harm is inflicted to him, all its bad consequences with lie on the shoulders of rulers and their authorities.Meanwhile, as per the statement JKLF chief in a message sent out from jail has condemned the ongoing police atrocities in Kashmir valley. While condemning the police action stopping shopkeepers from opening their shops during break in protest strike, Malik said that this act of police has yet again shown that PDP led coalition has lost its wits and is trying hard to break peoples will by military and police might. He said that shopkeepers and business men, government employees and transporters are being intimidated through police and in a bid to break people’s resistance but rulers should bear in mind that their Policegiri and use of force will yield them nothing but shame.
