Open Women Taekwando Championship organised at Ludhiana College of Engg & Technology Katani Kalan by Akhil Bhartiya Vidharthi Parishad.As many as 180 Students from various schools and colleges participated. Chief Guest at the moment was Sukhpal Singh Brar ADCP Industrial and Arjuna Awardee winner Mrs Rashmi Child Protection officer was guest of honour.The main reason of organising this event was to enhance the self-defiance and self-confidence among the girls. Sukhdev Singh Thaper Institute,Govt School Samrala,Govt Girls School Jawahar Camp  were announced First, Second and third  respectively  ( over all Winners).

While giving the medals to the winners Chairman LCET Vijay Gupta said that on such platforms Students get a chance to present their talents and skills which are necessary for holistic development. According to him games are indispensible part of children life .Games teach them so many things practically that we are unable to teach them in classroom. He further advised them to participate in outdoor and indoor games to stay fit and healthy .He further advised the students to devote at least an hour a day to sports and games. Sports and academic studies must go hand in hand for the holistic development of students. According to him Taekwondo is a game which increases child's physical coordination, flexibility, balance, and mental acumen and athletic abilities and help him to overcome fear, self-doubt, anger, jealousy, laziness.
