The cultural programmes being organized by Directorate of Tourism, Jammu in collaboration with Indian Council for Cultural Research   every evening at Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu are witnessing an enthralling response.The objective of organizing the show is to explore the hidden talent of local artists by showcasing the different dance forms of Jammu and Kashmir to the visiting Amarnathji Yatries so that they can act as ambassadors of JK Tourism for attracting  more tourists to  the state.The event was started from July 1 - the inauguration of Amarnathji Yatra- for one week time and witnessed huge audience enjoying daily performances. Keeping in view the success and the demand, cultural programmes were extended and continued till yatra period.    A captivating Cultural Programme was presented by the Artists of Indian Council for Cultural Research, Jammu here tonight.

Ms Sushma Chauhan, Director Tourism, Jammu and Mr Sanjay Kalgaoankar, Executive Director, National Hydro electric Corporation, Jammu were present among the yatries to encourage the artists and also to witness the riveting show. The Director Tourism expressed her gratitude NHPC for coming forward as Co- sponsor of the event. She assured the gathering that Tourism Department shall  continue to organize more such events in future for the promotion of rich Cultural heritage of  the State.  On the sidelines of the Cultural Programmes, City and Border Tour  buses were started from Yatri Niwas  to take the yatries to famous tourist destinations of Jammu City like Mubarak Mandi, Amar Mahal Palace, Bawey Wali Mata, Bagh-e- Bahu,  Balidaan Stambh n Border tour buses . Yatries showed keen interest in Border Tourism as 4 to 5 buses used to tour the Border Tourism Spot, Suchetgarh daily.
