Punjab Technical University conducted TCS Code Vita contest ,a programming competition by Tata Consultancy Services at Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology Campus . On this occasion MS Bedi, Assistant Director, PTU and Anubha Swami Recruiter-Campus Hiring, Talent Acquisition Group-North, Tata Consultancy Services interacted with the students. More than 100 students from under graduate, post graduate disciplines from engineering/science background participated in this session.CodeVita is a team contest. A team must have 2 members from the same Institutes who can be from different year of passing and specializations. The contest will comprise of 2 rounds of coding before Global Round where top teams from across the world will fight for the Prestigious Title. In this contest students can showcase their programming skills, compete with the best coders in the world, earn peer recognition and honor and explore exciting career with world’s most powerful it brand.
In the Grand Finale, Top 3 teams will be declared as winners of the contest. Navdeepak Sandhu, Deputy Director PTU told at the moment that TCS will visit 10 colleges for Code Vita - Interactive Sessions in collaboration with University to cover the Punjab and target is to get Maximum students registered from PTU colleges so that they have exposure of international competition.While informing about the competition Chairman LCET Vijay Gupta said that TCS Code Vita, a programming competition, is TCS way of attracting young impressionable college students to adopt this culture and experience joy of programming. First winner, Second winner and third winner will be honoured with 10000, 7000, 3000 US dollar along the research internship & provisional offer. There will be up to 3000 job offers for top coders, waiver in the aptitude test of TCS placements process for good performers, internship opportunity with CTO research team and global ranking to the top coders.
