There was news about Shakti Anand getting replaced on the show however now we hear Ashok Samarth has been added to the star cast but not as Shakti’s replacement. Infact, Shakti Anand and Ashok Samarth both will be seen as leads in alternative episodes as Ashok couldn’t give more than 15 days a month and viewers had started associating the show with Shakti therefore in a win-win situation, viewers will get to see both on the show.Ashok Samarth says, “the producer of the show, B.P Singh and I go way back. I don’t have a godfather in this industry so when I just started off in this field, I was complimented by B.P Singh.
His positive words increased my confidence manifolds and he seemed like the Godfather I never had. Cut to 15 years later, I got a call from him asking me to do this show and as I respect him a lot, I couldn’t turn it down but I can only commit 15 days a month which they agreed to. So here I am working with this visionary man whose confidence in me made me sustain in this industry for 5 years”.Ashok Samarth will be seen as ACP GajananMazgaonkar, the one to be heading the Supercops Department in Supercops VS Supervillains.
