Nodal Officer Appointed For Checking Illegal Mining & Redressal Of Complaints; Helpline Number Started

For checking illegal mining in the district as well as for timely and effective redressal of complaints, Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat has appointed a nodal officer at district level. For the benefit of complainants, a helpline number and email address has also been started.As per a letter received from Principal Secretary, Industries Department, Punjab, Mr Bhagat informed that Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mr Rishipal Singh (mobile number 98722-90882) has been appointed as nodal officer. Besides this, a helpline number, 0161-2404502 has been started at the DC camp office and the email address is [email protected] will be the email address used for the complainants.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that this email address and helpline number would remain in operation 24X7 and any person can submit his complaint related to illegal mining in district there. He stated that for the helpline number, duties have been assigned to different officials and orders have been issued that all complaints would be duly registered in the register.The DC directed the nodal officer that all complaints should be dealt with seriously and General Manager cum Mining Officer, District Industries Centre, Ludhiana, all SDMs, Revenue Department Officials and other concerned staff should remain on alert 24X7 and they should make sure that their mobile phones remain switched on. He said that he would not tolerate any illegal mining in the district and if person indulges this illegal activity, he would be strictly dealt with.
