In yet another national achievement for the District Administration Ludhiana, two of their projects have been adjudged amongst "Top 100 projects in India" for the year 2016 by the Skoch group. These projects are "Construction of household individual toilets" and "i-Sehat" and for this achievement, Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Miss Apneet Riyait would receive "Skoch Order of Merit" during the 45th Skoch Summit to be held at Hyderabad onSeptember 8-9, 2016.
Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Miss Apneet Riyait had given a presentation on these topics at a function held on June 8-9, 2016 at Mumbai. A jury of eminent experts selected both these projects after going through a large number of nominations and presentations.Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat informed that it is a matter of great pride that the project, "Construction of household individual toilets" for needy under the Swachh Bharat Mission has been has stood first in the state as per the report on website of Union Water Supply and Sanitation Department. With the construction of more than 15000 toilets, Ludhiana district stands first in the state.He informed that the other project, “i-Sehat” SMS service would also be implemented by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry in whole of the country shortly.
