Ensure uninterrupted power, water supply in hospitals: DC Srinagar

Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr Farooq Ahmed Lone today convened a meeting to review the availability of essential services in the district.The Deputy Commissioner directed all the departments to ensure availability of essential commodities, water and power supply, transport and medicare so that people do not face any inconvenience.  He directed Srinagar Municipal Corporation authorities for ensuring proper cleanliness and sanitation in the entire Srinagar city.Directing for ensuring punctuality of staff in their respective offices, the Deputy Commissioner asked the district officers to remain stationed at headquarter and ensure timely redressal of peoples’ problems  with regard to essential services.Issuing strict directions to the authorities of PDD and PHE Departments for ensuring un-interrupted power and water supply in the Hospitals, the Deputy Commissioner asked Medical superintendents and Chief Medical officers of health institutions for ensuring attendance of Doctors and para-medics in the health institutions.

The meeting was informed that essential services are functioning smoothly in the district and the required staff has been attending their duties properly. It was also informed that arrangements have been made for serving free food to the attendants and patients in the Hospitals particularly SMHS, Bone & Joint hospital and SKIMS.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (B/R), Joint Director Planning, Superintending Engineer M&RE circle 1st & 2nd, Superintending Engineer PHE, Sub Divisional Magistrate (West), Chief Medical Officer, General Manager SRTC, Assistant Director CA&PD, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Joint Commissioner SMC, Executive Engineer PHE     City / Master Plan and Executive Engineers of PDD and representatives of various LPG Agencies.
