Blaming state government for spoiling peace in the state, Chairman of Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani on Sunday appealed people to maintain discipline and don’t indulge in damaging police stations and ambulances. He also appealed people to maintain communal harmony. Geelani told KNS over phone that the people from past two days have maintained discipline in Kashmir and should also maintain such kind of discipline. “I appeal people of Kashmir to don’t damage police stations, posts and ambulances as it can be an excuse for the government to prove that they are not guilty,” he said.He said that the people installed langers on the roads for the people who were visiting the residence of Burhan Wani who was killed in an encounter in Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday.

“The way people showed their resentment against India from Friday evening is an eye-opener for India and world community as well that the people of Kashmir are against the illegal occupation of India in Kashmir,” Geelani said, adding that the discipline maintained by the people from past three days has became an example.Blaming state government for spoiling peace in the state, Geelani said that it is government who are spoiling peace here. “The allegations government had made that the protesters are forcing force to resort to firing are baseless while the fact is that they are creating indiscipline by one way or another,” he said.

He said that the death toll in cycle of ongoing violence in Kashmir has gone upto 16 while there are also reports that the forces are thrashing youth outside the Valley hospitals who are being shifted their for the treatment after receiving injuries.Geelani questioned that if government is claiming that they are peace lover then who killed 16 youth so far and who left hundreds of civilians injured. “The way they killed our youth and injured several others is worst kind of state terrorism,” he said, adding that the people are peace lover and are not forcing anyone to resort to firing or any other else.
