The state administration on Saturday decided to impose restriction across the Valley in view of the shutdown call given by the separatist leaders against the killing of eight civilians.Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr Asgar Samoon told KNS that the restrictions will be imposed across the Valley to thwart any possible protests against the civilian killing.Terming the civilian killings as unfortunate, Samoon said that the forces have been asked to exercise maximum restraint and avoid civilian causalities. “People should also avoid destroying public properties and should cooperate with administration to maintain peace in the Valley,” he appealed.Samoon said that he will review the situation on Sunday while the Deputy Commissioners have been asked to monitor the situation in their respective districts.“Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti is also monitoring the situation,” he said. Eight civilians were killed and several others received injuries during the clashes between youth and forces in different areas of South Kashmir. (KNS)
