Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal today exhorted the people to give hat-trick chance to the SAD-BJP government in order to ensure that the rapid pace of all round development in the state gathers further momentum. He said that during the previous 9 years, Punjab has witnessed record progress whereas the 5 year Chief Ministerial regime of Captain Amarinder Singh ended in a big failure. Divulging more, he said that Captain Amarinder Singh cannot list even a single development oriented project of his regime whereas, the SAD-BJP government has developed the state in fast track mode besides uplifting the living standard of the people of the state through various welfare schemes.Interacting with the media-persons after inaugurating and laying foundation stones of various development projects worth Rs. 350 crores in Kotkapura, Jaito and Faridkot, the Deputy Chief Minister said that only SAD is the genuine and true representative party of the Punjab and Punjabi’s whereas on the contrary, Congress and AAP are only lusting for power. 

He said that the state has developed only with S. Parkash Singh Badal as Chief Minister at the helm.Coming down heavily on AAP, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that it is a bunch of outsiders from the state who don’t have any inkling about the culture and tradition of Punjab and these people are hankering after power by making fake promises and fomenting trouble in the state.Cautioning the people of Punjab, the Deputy Chief Minister said that AAP is the biggest enemy of Punjab and deserves to be decimated. Attacking AAP further, he said that this party doesn’t care for the sentiments of any religion and the dastardly act committed by AAP during the release of its bogus youth manifesto in holy city Amritsar, is drawing flak from all corners of the globe. Appealing people of the state to beware of hidden agenda of AAP, he said that AAP is trying to disrupt co01mmunal harmony and brotherhood in the state but the SAD-BJP government is fully committed to protect the peaceful and prosperous atmosphere of Punjab.Touching the developmental plank, he said that Punjab has been transformed into a power surplus state during the previous 9 years and the state is providing 24 hours power supply in stark contrast to the neighbouring states that had to bear the brunt of heavy power cuts.

Elaborating more about the progress oriented initiatives of the SAD-BJP government, S. Badal said that road infrastructure id being strengthened and the various welfare schemes benefitting poor people, farmers and all the other sections of society, have uplifted the living standard of people of the state.The Deputy Chief Minister, on the occasion, gave Rs. 120 crore for 100 percent water supply and sewerage facility for Faridkot, Rs. 115 crore and Rs. 49 crore for similar amenties for kotkapura and jaito respectively. He also gave Rs. 39 crore for the development of rural and urban areas of jaito, Rs. 10 crore for carrying out development centric projects in kotkapura city and Rs. 15 crore for maari distributor (Jaito) and Rs. 2 crore for gondara minor (Jaito).Terming the water supply and sewerage projects in faridkot district as game changers in terms of development, S. Badal informed that the bridge over the famed crossing of kotkapura was constructed by SAD-BJP government thereby ridding the people of traffic problem. 

The Deputy Chief Minister also announced Rs. 7 crore separately for the development of kotkapura city. He also distributed grants worth Rs. 12 crore to the 22 village panchayats during the sangat darshan at jaito.Among those present on the occasion were Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mantar Singh Brar, Halqa Incharge Jaito Parkash Singh Bhatti, Chairman Parambans Singh Bunty Romana, Chairman PRTC Avtar Singh Brar, DIG Ranbir Singh Khattra, Special Principal Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister, Ashwani Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Malwinder Singh Jaggi, SSP Sukhminder Singh Mann, Vice-Chairman Punjab Gau Sewa Commission Durgesh Sharma, President Municipal Council Kotkapura Mohan Singh Matta and other prominent SAD-BJP leaders.
