Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Youth Affairs and Sports, MoS PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh today held a public meeting at Kouri, Reasi.While addressing the gathering, the minister announced Rupees Fifty Lakh from MPLAD for various development works in Tehsil Arnas which includes Rs 25 Lakh for Footbridges, Rs 10 Lakh for the development of historic spot of Godha Gali and Rs 15 lakh for the development of educational infrastructure in the area.Stating public cooperation as an important requisite for effective implementation of welfare scheme, the Minister congratulated the public for having vigorously responded to the flagship schemes of the government of India especially Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Atal Pension Yojna, Mudra Bank Yojna, Jan Dan Yojna, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan etc.
Dr Singh also informed the people about the various public welfare schemes taken up by Narendra Modi Government for development and growth of the masses and urged them to take maximum advantage of these schemes. He also highlighted the welfare and developmental schemes taken up in his Kathua-Doda Parliamentary Constituency with emphasis on timely completion of these projects.He said Rs 80,000 crore package sanctioned by Modi Government for the State is aimed at developing the infrastructure in all the three regions of the State for their equitable development.
