The women folk should imbibe the ideology ofNanhi Chan and must become flag bearer in the crusade against social evils. For the creation of healthy society the role of a woman is of paramount importance and it is high time that the womanhood must realize its importance in eradicating the social evils from the society. It was disclosed by Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Union Food Processing Minister while addressing the Istri Sammelan dedicated to Mata Ganga Ji which was held at Palm Court, Zirakpur under the leadership of Bibi Jagir Kaur, President Istri Akali Dal.Mrs. Badal said that our Great Gurus and other religious pious personalities like Mata Ganga ji have fostered the ideology of universal brotherhood and compassion towards one and all. She called upon the women folk to strengthen themselves economically, religiously and politically and to play a leading role in every decision making activity. She said that in today’s world a woman is second to noon but in some spheres they are much ahead than their male counterparts. She gave a call that the most inhuman social evils like dowery must be ruthlessly eliminated from society. With this most of other social evils like female foeticide and other atrocities upon women would automatically be wiped out form the society. She said that we all must fight these social evils unitedly.
Mrs. Badal said that it is for certain that SAD-BJP government would form the government in the state for the consecutive third time. She said that it is matter of record that the Punjab state under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal has topped the tally of all the other states in the country in executing unprecedented development works. She said that although the Congress party remained at the helms of affairs in the state for a sizeable period but they did nothing for the betterment of the state.Strongly castigating Aam Admi Party, the new player in the political arena, she said that they have no political base in Punjab and the public has already seen their drastic performance in Delhi. She said that people would not be get lured by their fake tall claims. She said that Istri Akali Dal would play a proactive role in the ensuing Punjab Vidhan Sabha election in 2017.After the sammelan Mrs. Badal while speaking to the media said that 42 Mega Food Parks were being set up in the country with the cost of Rs. 2 thousand crore. She said that this activity would generate innumerous employment opportunities in the country.
