Adabi Markaz Kaaz, J&K and Markaz-I-Noor, Centre for Shaikh-ul Aalam Studies, University of Kashmir, Srinagar today on 20th June, 2016 organised a book release function in the seminar hall of the Centre. The book titled Gulshan-i-Anbia(A.S) authored by A.K. Shamas was released with due honour at the event. Dr. Shujat Bukhari, President, Adbi Markaz Kaaz, J&K while welcoming the audience, spoke about the magnanimous literary heritage of Kashmir and congratulated the author for his valuable contribution in the literary field especially in the devotional writings. The function was presided over by Dr. Altaf Hussain while as Vice Chancellor University of Kashmir, Prof. Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi, was the Chief Guest of the event.
Prof Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi, while addressing the audience, expressed his utmost joy for being a part of such an august event. He stressed over the need for youngsters to come forward and contribute in the field of literature. He lauded the role of Markaz-I Noor, CSAS in promoting the religious events, and disseminating the message of Prophets and Sufis especially Shaikh ul Aalam to the common masses especially to the younger generation.
He further added that the multi-dimensional way of working in the fields of research, publication and outreach programmes of Markaz-i Noor are quite appreciating. Altaf Ahmad (Chief Guest of the event) held the esteem of J & K Adbi Markaz Kaaz high and deliberated on the various literary pursuits of Kaaz for the promotion of literature and culture. Prof Basher Bashir, Chairman Centre for Shaikh ul Aalam Studies shared his experiences about the development of literary produce and the efforts put by the concerned author on checking out the various religio-literary strategies. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shujat Bukhari defined the contours of literary study and critical evaluation and further stressed on the development and propagation of Kashmiri literature in variegated fields. A book review by Ghulam Nabi Haleem was also presented on the event. The function was hosted by Markaz-I Noor, Centre for Shaikh-ul Aalam Studies, a premier research centre. The function was attended by a galaxy of well known personalities, writers and scholars of Kashmir which included Prominent Poet Mashal Sutanpuri, Prof, Ayaz Nazki, Prof. Shad Ramzan, Prof Majrooh Rashid, Dr. Shafqat Altaf, Atiqa Banu Ji among other dignitaries.
