Claiming that Malawari Newa encounter in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district was staged and a fake one, chairperson Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Syeda Aasiyeh Andrabi, Thursday said that both the slain militant were already in police custody where they were tortured to death. “These Mujhadeen have been killed in custody given the fact that their bodies bore torture marks. One of the martyrs Manzoor Ahmed’s body carried iron burn marks. It is a white lie on part of Indian occupational forces that both these militants were killed in an encounter,” she said in a statement to CNS and added that such tactics depict the level of frustration among the Indian forces.

Paying rich tributes to the slain militant, Andrabi said that their loss is a great loss to the nation but at the same time people should feel proud on them. She castigated Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for ‘selling’ her conscience to RSS for power.Meanwhile, a DeM spokesperson said that a delegation led by party general secretary, Nahida Nasreen, visited Kakapora Pulwama and expressed solidarity with the family members of martyr Manzoor Ahmed and martyr Abu Ayyan. The spokesperson further said that a delegation of the party also visited Sopore  and expressed solidarity with the family members of martyr Sameer Ahmad Wani, who achieved martyrdom while fighting against Indian forces on Tuesday.
