Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari today informed the House that 207 Class-IV posts were advertised by District Development Commissioner Baramulla in 2006 and interviews of 4667 candidates out of 9295 shortlists candidates were held.Replying to a question by Mr. Javid Hassan Baig, the Minister said that, the General Administration Department (GAD) desired that the selection process be carried out a fresh in a time bound manner, only for the candidates who applied in pursuance of the 2006 advertisement.
The Minister said that in this regard the interview process was once again initiated, but the same was challenged in the Court. He said the Court quashed the said shortlist. He said the said judgment has been challenged by the GAD before the Division Bench of the Court and the matter is still sub-judice.Mr. Mohammad Akbar Lone raised the supplementary to the main question and demanded early settlement of the issue as this also involves candidates of Bandipora district.
