Members raise issues of public importance during Zero Hour

Various Members today raised the issues of public importance during Zero Hour in LA today.Choudhary Sukhnandan complimented the government on the waiver of KCC loans and requested that a similar scheme be launched for the welfare of small and marginal farmers.

Mr. Mohammad Khalil Bandh raised the issue of lack of irrigation facilities in Khandipora and Nowgam villages in his constituency. He said that the shortage of water has damaged rice saplings.

Mr. Mubarak Gul demanded for release of funds in favour of cancer patients undergoing treatment at various hospitals. He also demanded transfers in JKPCC, especially of those employees who have been occupying the posts in the corporation for a long time.

Mr. Mumtaz Ahmad Khan demanded release of pending arrears to ReTs working in Zone Mahore.

Mr. Shakti Raj Parihar raised the issue of delay in the release of selection list of technicians in Doda district. He urged the government to expedite the selection process as the candidates have been waiting for a long time.

Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar demanded an inquiry into a blast that killed two children and injured one in his constituency in August 2015. He also demanded compensation and employment to next in kin of deceased.

Mr. Usman Abdul Majid demanded for early completion of approach roads to Athwathu bridge, which is nearing completion.

Mr. Abdul Majid Paddar demanded for filling the vacant posts of medicos and para-medicos including dentists in all health institutions of his Constituency.

Mr. Daleep Singh Parihar demanded for early commissioning of Grid Station Changa to augment electricity supply in his constituency.  He also demanded for establishment of Fire and Emergency Station in his constituency.

Mr. Altaf Ahmad Wani demanded early completion of Lift Irrigation Scheme Wularhama for the benefit of a large number of farmers.

Mr. G. M. Saroori demanded for expediting the construction work on all ongoing road projects under PMGSY in his constituency. He also demanded for early macadamization of all major roads in his constituency.

Mr. Bashir Ahmad Dar demanded clearing of liabilities against the contractor who has constructed the Trehgam hospital.

Mr. Javid Hassan Beig thanked the former Education Minister for release of funds for Government Degree College Baramulla. He suggested that Education Minister and Revenue Minster should conduct a joint meeting to resolve the issues concerning the construction of the college.

Mr. Sat Paul Sharma said that the concerned departments including JDA and Municipal Corporation are not maintaining public parks properly. He demanded for handing over of all the parks in his constituency to Floriculture department for their better maintenance.

Mr. Pawan Kumar Gupta demanded expediting the construction work on Patnitop Cable Car project. He also urged the government to start work on installation of ropeway from Patnitop to Mantalai and Patnitop to Sanasar which has the potential to become a great tourist attraction in his constituency.

Mr. Vikar Rasool Wani demanded Critical Care Ambulance for his constituency as the area is accident prone. He also demanded for posting of BMO in his constituency to strengthen the health sector.

Raja Manzoor Ahmad raised the issue of a Teacher in his constituency, who was earlier declared dead in official records. He demanded the government to look into the matter and ensure that justice is provided to the said teacher as he is being denied his due promotion.

Mr. Ravinder Raina demanded raising of CDF as the current amount is not sufficient to meet the needs of the constituency. He also urged the government to expedite the construction work on Government Degree College Sunderbani.

Mr Ali Mohammed Sagar raised the issue of daily wagers, casual labours and adhoc employees. He said that it is a humanitarian issue and government should take steps for their regularisation.

Haji Abdul Rashid Dar said that Fruit Mandi Sopore is one of the biggest fruit Mandis in the state. He demanded widening of road leading to the fruit Mandi to minimise traffic jams, benefitting the traders.

Mr Noor Mohammed Sheikh said that thousands of widows, and destitute have not been provided financial assistance since 2012. He demanded immediate release of the funds so that the financial assistance is provided to them.

Mr. Mohammed Akbar Lone raised the issue of water-logging in various orchards due to floods. He demanded enhanced compensation for the fruit growers from Prime Ministers Package.

Dr. Krishan Lal raised the issue of discrepancy of CAPD list wherein many well off people have been provided BPL ration card and genuine families were excluded. He demanded examination of the list and removal of such anomalies.

Mr. Rajiv Sharma raised the issue of works undertaken in RDD under convergence scheme. He said that till date contractors are not paid their dues and demanded release of funds to clear their liabilities.

Mr Nawang Rigzin Jora demanded compensation for people whose land has been acquired for widening the Srinagar-Leh road by BRO in Ladakh region. He urged the government to take up the issue with the BRO authorities.

Ch. Qamar Hussain demanded that examination centres for  various examinations by SSRB should be established at district headquarters which are currently being set up at provincial level causing enormous problems to the students of far flung areas.

Ch. Mohammed Akram demanded release of funds for expediting the construction work of University Campus Complex in Poonch.

Mr. Dina Nath Bhagat raised the issue of defunct water supply schemes in his constituency. He demanded release of funds for the restoration of these schemes so that people are provided adequate water supply during the summer season.

Mr. Mohammed Amin Bhat also raised the issue of water scarcity in his constituency. He informed the house that people are protesting due to lack of water for many days.

Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal demanded repair of major roads in his constituency.

Mr. Gulzar Ahmad Wani and Mr. Rajesh Gupta raised the issue of shortage of ration in their respective constituencies especially in far off areas. They demanded immediate supply of ration to their respective constituencies.

Mr. Yawar Ahmad Mir demanded installation of medical diagnostic equipments and up-gradation of other facilities in health centres of his constituency.

Mr. Kuldip Raj raised the issue of vacant posts of teaching staff in various educational institutions in his constituency. He urged the government to post teachers at the earliest.

Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Mir urged the government to take steps for providing employment opportunities to unemployed youth in the state. He demanded that government should encourage entrepreneurship among the youth by providing easy finance and skill development in various skills.

Dr. Gagan Bhagat demanded immediate release of funds for a link road in his constituency. He also demanded immediate repair of the building of Government Degree College R S Pura.

Mr. Asgar Ali Karbalai raised the issue of lack of irrigation facilities for apricot crops in his constituency. He said that water supply is disrupted due to dispute between two villages and government should intervene to resolve the issue.

Mr. R S Pathania raised the issue of lack of foot bridges on UJh river which resulted in drowning of people every year. He demanded construction of foot bridges on the river and also urged the government to explore the hydro potential of the river for boosting local and state economy.

Mr. Deldan Namgial raised the issue of vacant posts of lecturers in Leh. He demanded that government should depute the lecturers to Leh at the earliest as students are facing inconvenience.
