Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh Tuesday ordered an inquiry into the incident which occurred the other day at Siri Pandtan in which three PDD employees were electrocuted, resulting in death of two.The Deputy Chief Minister said that action would be initiated against the concerned officials who were responsible for the incident. He further assured that adequate compensation would be provided to the next of kin of the deceased employees.Dr Singh while expressing grief over the incident said that necessary instructions have already been passed to the concerned officials to ensure that such incidents don’t occur in future. He said that there should be complete coordination between the officials working in the field and those responsible for the transmission of electricity to respective areas.The Deputy Chief Minister expressed heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.Meanwhile Dr Singh also directed the officers to ensure that the injured in the incident gets requisite medical assistance.
