Pulwama today chaired the fourth District Level Review Committee meeting for quarter ending March 2016, convened by Lead District Manager,Lead District Manager informed the chair that total credit Action Plan for the financial year 2015-16 has been Rs.1588 Crore out of which Rs. 1214.26 Crore stands deployed under priority sectors and Rs. 373.69 Crore under non-priority sectors.ADC was further apprised that the Credit Deposit (CD) ratio for the District stood at 80.20% which is second highest ratio in the state.
Under priority sectors, banks have deployed total credit of Rs.264 crore to 8861 beneficiaries of Agriculture and Horticulture sectors against a target of Rs.456 Crore to 30759 beneficiaries resulting in achievement of 58% and 28.81% in terms of financial and physical targets respectively. UnderKissan Credit card Scheme (KCC) banks have disbursed 41,891 cases against the target of 60,300. The ADC directed the financial Institutions as well as district heads of Agriculture and Horticulture departments to work hard for achieving 100% target.ADC took a strong note of the banks which failed to perform efficiently during the financial year 2015-16 and asked them to hold financial Literacy Camps in the different areas of the District.
