The Jammu and Kashmir Casual Daily Wagers Forum alongwith their children Friday staged sit-in to press the government for fulfilment of their demands. In the first of its kind, the casual labours were accompanied by their children who were holding banners outside the civil secretariat displaying ‘coalition Government i don’t have fee I am casual labours child, Mehbooba Jee I am casual labours child Please save my future’.The protesters also raised slogans with an appeal to regularize them.Sajad Ahamd Paray, president of the forum told KNS that the government has miserably failed to fulfil their promises made with them. “With such kind of deplorable behaviour of successive regimes, our children are facing hardships and were forced today to take streets,” he said.

He said that the school authorities of their children are pushing them to complete the fee pending from past several months but there is not even a single penny in their pocket, which results in the hardships to their children in their educational filed.Paray said that the government should look into their hardships at earliest. “We have been always asked to stop agitating and we will come up with a roadmap for you but every time the promises made by the successive regimes proved hoax,” he said.He appealed mainstream opposition parties, separatist leaders and others forums to support them in this struggle. “We appeal all the leaders and parties to support us in this regard so that our genuine demands will be fulfilled soon,” he said.“Our demands should be fulfilled soon otherwise the government should get ready to face agitation for which they will be held responsible,” he said.Meanwhile, the protesters later dispersed peacefully.
