Punjab BJP Chief and Union Minister of State Vijay Sampla said that today's young generation should seek inspiration from the sacrifices made by Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Sh. Vijay Sampla was delivering his speech from Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee's Memorial site situated at Madhavpur, on Panjab-Jammu-Kashmir border, Pathankot. Sample reminiscent , spoke about the great role and sacrifice made by Dr. Mukherjee for keeping India undivided and retain Jammu and Kashmir as an integral part of our nation. Dr. Mukherjee marched to save Kashmir and kept the foundation of Jan Sangh and the ideology of BJP. Mr. Sampla said that Mukherjee's death anniversary as Memorial Day has been celebrated at 100 different places all over punjab. Also present on the occasion was former President Mr. Ashwani Sharma, who reiterated that Dr. Mukherjee is a mentor and his life is exemplary. Today's youth should admire and follow in the foot steps of the grand leader. He said that the virtues of penance and sacrifice define the orientation of the Bhartiya Janta party.
A press note released from the State BJP office informed that the celebration of Dr. Mukherjee's Memorial Day held not only in Pathankot but also at 100 different places in Punjab. Memorial Day conducted in 33 district centers was chaired by the state level leaders.
