Minister for IT, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari today directed Engineers of PHE to put added efforts for augmentation of water supply schemes in Pattan Constituency of District Baramulla.The Minister gave the directions at a meeting held here to review the status  of PHE and R&B schemes  in Pattan Constituency.The meeting was informed that 10 water Supply Schemes costing Rs 26 crore are in progress in Pattan Constituency of which two water supply Schemes- Check-e-Guhal and Rambail Chinar Gund will be completed during current financial year which will provide safe and potable drinking water to the people of the area.During the meeting, the Minister directed Chief Engineer PHE to ensure completion of Filtration plant, Sultanpora within two months. He also directed preparing DPR for Filtration Plant Sherpora. He also for keeping up of provision of one more additional tanker in Pattan to provide safe drinking water in the area.Molvi Ansari asked Commissioner Secretary PHE and Flood Control to ensure preparation of papers for special funding to Water Supply Scheme Parihaspora which is ongoing at a cost of Rs. 47 crore.

He also reviewed the progress of Water Supply Scheme (WSS) at Hanjivira and Checkraza Khan.Reviewing the R&B Sector, the Minister directed Chief Engineer R&B to ensure black topping of road from Sultanpora and Hamray. He also asked for development of road from Shadipora to Khanpeth.The Minister was apprised that DPRs for  Ferozpora and Zalpora Bridges under CRF have been submitted to Union Government.In a separate meeting,  Molvi Ansari who is also chairman of District Development Board, Bandipora reviewed the pace of progress of  road sector of district Bandipora.  He was informed that 48 road schemes are progressing in  Bandipora, Gurez and Sonwari Tehsils of Bandipora district at a cost of Rs. 22.00 crore, of which Rs.14.36 crore have been expended on  these schemes upto ending March,2016.The Minister was informed that Rs. 12.75 crore are being  incurred  on road sector  during current financial year of which Rs. 5 Crore will be spent on under NABARD to complete them during current financial year.Secretary, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Mr. Sanjeev Verma, DDC Bandipora, Chief Engineers of R&B and PHE, SDM Pattan and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
