The three-day long Sudh Mahadev Mela witnessed a heavy rush of devotees who paid obeisance at the Sudh Mahadev temple and prayed for peace and prosperity of the state. District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Niraj Kumar also paid obeisance at the temple on the occasion.The Sudh Mahadev Mela is organised every year in tehsil Chenani of Udhampur district. The devotees took holy dip in the Beenisangam rivulet also known as Budhisudhi rivulet and Pap Nashni Bowli situated just at the entrance of the temple.The cultural programmes depicting the rich cultural heritage of Dogras were presented by the local artists of the district, which gave a festive look to the Mela. Later, the DC inspected the exhibition stalls being installed by various government departments to create awareness among the masses about various centrally and state sponsored schemes being run by the government for their welfare.Joint Director, Planning Rakesh Jamwal, SDM Chenani, DK Sharma and senior officers of various departments were present on the occasion.
