Sham Lal Sharma took exception on Mehbooba Mufti’s statement

Sr Vice President JKPCC & Former Minister Sham Lal Sharma today expressed anguish on the recent statement of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti regarding the leadership issue in a function held at Jammu.According to a statement issued to KNS, addressing Monthly meeting of BCC Chowki Choura Sham said that the Chief Minister made these sarcastic remarks in the presence of Dy.CM who was also present in the function.He said that the Dy.CM didn't refute the said statement of the Mehbooba Mufti and remained as a mute spectator.Sham further said that the because of lust of power the BJP leaders are even ready to accept such like statements which effect the honour and prestige of the people of Jammu whom they consider themselves as so called Champions.

Sharma asked Mehbooba Mufti to clarify as to whether her statement is pertaining to only BJP or other parties? Till date the Late Sheikh Abdullah, Dr Farooq Abdullah & late Mufti had never made such type of sarcastic remarks against Jammu region, it is not understood as to why Mehbooba ji was compelled to make such statement.

He said that there is no dearth of leaders in Jammu region but those leaders who have lust of power and have personal interest are unable to highlight the issues of their region. Such leaders have completely surrendered themselves before PDP.He also alleged that BJP and its leadership totally surrendered and lack of strength over the issues of people who gave them heavy mandate to safeguard their interest.All the promises made by BJP were proved false and people are now repenting for voting the BJP," he added.He also said that BJP leaders has no sense of responsibility and Respect towards the needs and sentiments of people of Jammu.Sham said, they need to understand that people’s expectations are not challenges, it is a responsibility.
