Naeem Akhtar assures stern action against warden for thrashing students

Minister for Education Mr. Naeem Akhtar while terming the act of thrashing of girl students of Gujjar-Bakerwal hostel by the hostel warden as a brutal incident assured that strict action would be taken against the culprit.Responding to concerns raised by Mr. Engineer Rashid and Mr. GM Saroori in the House, the Education Minister condemned the act and said that it is a brutal incident that a teacher could have done with children.Mr. Akhtar said that the warden has used the lathi in a most brutal way while adding that such people should not be the part of states education system.He informed the House that the incident has resulted in hospitalization of seven girls, who are now recovering there.Assuring to take a stern action against the offender, the Minister said that Government has put the warden under suspension and an FIR has also been lodged against her.He informed the House that the culprit has gone into hiding and is avoiding her arrest by changing her hideouts regularly. He assured the House that police is searching for her and she would be arrested soon.The Minister assured that Government won’t tolerate such an “inhumane “behavior and every step would be taken to stop such incidents.
