Officers to perform their duty with full dedication to ensure completion of various development works being carried out in the district under Rural & Urban Health Mission, any kind of negligence in this regard will not be acceptable. This was stated by Rahul Tiwari Special Principle Secretary to Dy CM and Secretary Public Relation Department Punjab while addressing a meeting of officials of various department in presence of Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sh. N.K.Sharma & Halqa Incharge Kharar jathedar Ujjagar Singh Badali, regarding review of various development works being carried out in the district under Urban & Rural Mission and to ensure the availability of public welfare schemes at grass route level.
During the meeting Deputy CommissionerD.S.Mangat, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Sh. Bhupinder Singh, SDM Mohali Sh. Lakhmeer Singh, SDM Kharar Smt. Amaninder Kaur Brar & other officials were present.During this Rahul Tiwari said that for various development works under Urban & Rural Mission financial grant of Rs. 84 crore 3 lacs 5 thousand will be spent by Punjab Govt. out of which Rs. 51 crore 10 lacs is to be spent for under Rural mission for development works to be carried out in villages of state. He said that Rs. 32 crore 93 lac 5 thousand will be spent in the district under urban mission, for which first installment of Rs. 8 crore 23 lac 26 thousand has been released and remaining will also be released soon. He said that under Rural Mission first installment of Rs. 18 crore 85 lacs stands released and remaining will also be released soon. During this, Sh. Tiwari reviewed the status of various development works being carried out in the district and also urged that officials of various departments should coordinate each other to ensure timely completion of these development works. During this he constituted a committee under the headship of SDM Kharar to resolve the problems being faced for handing over the Kurali Sewerage works to Municipal Corporation and directed to resolve the problems within one month so that Sewerage at Kurali could be operated efficiently.
During this, Sh. Tiwari also reviewed the repair & renovation works to be carried out on priority so that sufficient funds for the same could be ensured. During this Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sh. N.K.Sharma desired for renovation of road from Rampur Sainian to Jarout & road from Lalru to handesra, for which Rs. 11 crore is required to be spent. During this Jathedar Ujjagar Singh Badali said that tender amounting to Rs. 6 crore 45 lacs stands called for link roads of kahrar, but still some of the roads are to be repaired on priority. He also requested to issue funds for 8 new tubewells to be installed in Naya Gaon. During this Sh. Tiwari also reviewed Atta Dal Scheme, Tubewell Connections, School up-gradation & other welfare schemes.
