Vikar Rasool stresses Govt to redress public issues raised in assembly

Demands relief from power cuts, regularization of all daily wagers

Congress legislator from Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani today stressed upon the government to take keen interest in solving the public issues raised by MLA's in the house. While speaking in the question hour and grants of PHE and irrigation flood control department Vikar highlight the shortcomings of department to provide portable water facilities to the people.Vikar Rasool said that non technical projection has created mess in the working of department at bottom level which results in the day today increase of public sufferings.Vikar said that working of department is totally depends on the casual laborer's, daily wagers, need base and CP workers at village and Panchayat level but it’s very unfortunate that they are deprived of wages and waiting for their regularizations. He urged upon the government to consider upon their regularization policy at an earliest.

Vikar while criticizing the non provision of funds under irrigation and flood control department demand immediate sanction of grants in this sectorMLA Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani today strongly raised the issue of unscheduled frequent power cuts in pogal, Paristan, Ramsu, Neel and Khari areas of his assembly. Vikar Rasool Wani was speaking during ongoing discussion on power Department in question hour.MLA Banihal alleged that power development Department failed to provide sufficient and hassle free power supply to the residents of theses areas especially in this holy month of Ramzan.Vikar Rasool said that government should take immediate action on this urgent public issue as people are facing acute shortage and scarcity and power supply particular in the peak hours. Vikar urged upon the government to strong notice of starting work in receiving station at Ukhral and Khari so that people get rid from this long pending issue. (KNS)
