The J&K Armed Police 12th Battalion Zewan today under “Civic Action Programme” distributed uniform and stationery items to (79) school children belonging to BPL families. The function was presided over by Alok Kumar, DIG Armed Range Kashmir.During the function, uniform and stationery items were distributed among the school children of Govt. Hr. Sec. Institute Khanmoh Srinagar. The items distributed include school uniforms, School Bags, Shoes, socks, Track Suits, Note Books and other stationery items.On the occasion, Alok Kumar interacted with the young school children and advised them to excel in studies and extra-curricular activities besides, he  impressed upon them to study with zeal & zest so that they can adopt any career which could give them work satisfaction. He assured the gathering that J&K Police has been organizing such events from time to time and will continue to support under privileged students in their educational endeavors.Students also spoke on importance of good Police Public Relationship.Baqar Samoon, Commandant JKAP-12th Battalion emphasized the importance and benefits of Civic Action Programme and threw light on the programmes conducted by this unit under CAP from time to time.
