Minister for Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari today informed the House that there is no institute in the Department designated as Skilled Development Centre. He said, however, the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) functioning under the affiliation/registration of the Department are considered to be Skilled Development Institutes. Replying to a question by Ms. Shamim Firdous, the Minister said that no ITI/Skill Development Centre has been established by the Department in Srinagar city during last financial year.The Minister said however, ITI Srinagar in Khanyar constituency and Women ITI Bemina in Batamaloo constituency are presently functioning in District Srinagar.
