Congress today blamed PDP BJP Coalition Govt for ignoring people’s grievances across the State. The much talked developmental agenda of the PDP BJP Coalition is merely for public consumption. The Party also accused the Govt over not commissioning the projects completed by the previous Govt.Accusing PDP BJP Coalition over not showing any concern about the resolution of grievances people are facing across the State JKPCC Chief G.A. Mir said that the State Govt has failed to address the main issues people are facing in respect of Water Supply, Construction of Roads, etc across the State.He said PDP BJP Govt on the one hand is taking credit of the projects already completed by the previous Govt and on the other hand it is not even able to commission the completed projects, as a result common people were the worst hit.PCC Chief expressed concern over the worst condition of Anantnag – Dooru -Karpran Road which is being considered as a lifeline between Dooru and Anantnag.
He said the Sept 2014 floods had badly hit the road leaving it in shambles and the irony is that Govt is deliberately delaying the construction work of this important road merely on political lines.Accusing Coalition Govt for not showing any seriousness about this road, G.A. Mir said that people are the worst hit due to the dilapidated condition of this road and instead of protests and Dharnas being staged by local population, the Govt has not taken any action in this regard.I want to ask PDP led Govt what is the motive behind not undertaking construction of this road, PCC Chief questioned.PCC Chief also expressed surprise over the Government’s inability to commission the Shangran Water Supply Scheme that has already been completed, but the Govt merely on political lines has deliberately halted the commissioning of this scheme as a result 5000 families are suffering due to the scarcity of water.PCC Chief also condemned the Lathicharge on protestors particularly women who were protesting against the water scarcity and were demanding commissioning of Shangran WSS Scheme.
