31 Students From Meritorious Schools Crack Iit Exam: Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema

The Punjab Education Department has every reason to celebrate its grand success as 31 students from the meritorious schools of the state have cleared the JEE Advance exams and got selected for prestigious engineering institute of India i.e. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).Disclosing this, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister, Punjab said that the success of these students can rightly be attributed to the efforts of Chief Minister, Punjab Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, who has envisioned the opening up of Meritorious Schools in the state for the poor and needy students. He said that these students of the first batch of non-medical stream in meritorious schools have crack IIT exams in their first attempt. He said that 161 students of non-medical stream in 6 Senior Secondary Residential Schools for Meritorious Students of the state have cleared the preliminary examination of the JEE advance test and finally 31 students (16 boys and 15 girls) cleared the mains of JEE and got selected for admissions in IITs.

In a press communiqué, Dr. Cheema said that it is matter of pride for the whole of Punjab that the meritorious students belonging to poor families have scaled the pinnacle of education by getting admissions in the most prestigious engineering institutes of the country. These students are Barinder Singh, Simranjeet Kaur, Randeep Kaur, Baljinder Kaur, Milanpreet Kaur, Prince, Damanpreet Kaur, Sandeep Kumar, Jaspreet Kaur, Komal, Harpreet Kaur, Shubh Kumar and Parminder Kaur of Meritorious School Jalandhar, Daljip Ram, Gaurav, Sukhdeep Singh, Harpreet Kaur, Baljinder Kaur, Amarjeet Singh and Rekha of Meritorious School Patiala, Jasveer Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Nirmal Singh, Prem Kumar and Sukhchain Singh of Meritorious School Bathinda, Rajdeep Singh, Navjot Singh, Kajal and Sukhpreet Kaur of Meritorious School Ludhiana and Shamsher Singh and Sonia of Meritorious School Amritsar.Dr. Cheema congratulated the Project Director of Meritorious Schools Major General (Retd.) K.A.S. Bhullar, Principals and Staff of these schools for this grand achievement.
