Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday put forth seven "mantras" before BJP leaders and workers, asking them to adopt these in their dealings and cautioned them not to be arrogant.Addressing party activists at the BJP National Executive here, Modi also said that public mentality cannot be satisfied merely with slogans and the party must focus on how the country would be strengthened."Sense of service, balance, patience, coordination, positive attitude, sensitivity and dialogue were the seven points the prime minister asked party leaders and workers to follow," Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley told reporters here.In his concluding remarks the Prime Minister also remembered the contribution of lakhs of party workers. "It was there sacrifice and we are lucky to get its benefit," he said, adding: "Today we are in power at the Centre and also ruling many states. So we should never be arrogant. We need to be useful for the society."He also said that each part of his body and every moment of his life were devoted to the cause of the nation. In his address the Prime Minister said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has had "two successful years" in office, making policy paralysis a thing of the past.

"It's a historical period for all of us," Jaitley quoted Modi as saying. He said the BJP's two-day National Executive convention in Allahabad, which concluded on Monday, was held when the party was doing "really well".Among other things, the Bharatiya Janata Party discussed how it would strengthen its presence in states where it was not doing well earlier, Jaitley said.Jaitley also ridiculed the claims of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav that law and order situation in the state has not deterioted."If the law and order situation of the state is good then he should fight next assembly elections in 2017 over it. Let there be referendum over it. We are ready for it. If referendum takes place, it will be a setback for the Samajwadi Party," Jaitley said.Earlier, the BJP passed a political resolution and launched a scathing attack on the Congress."Popular message from this round of elections is that they reject not only the Congress but the brand of politics associated with it. Congress Mukt Bharat for us is not merely about defeating Congress at the hustings everywhere, although that will be the primary objective of our party. It also means ridding country of the Congress brand of politics -- corruption, nepotism, politics of inheritance and blue blood, arrogance and non-accountability, politics of obstructionism and vote banks, etc," the resolution said. The resolution further stated: "For the BJP every election from panchayat to Parliament is an important one to expand its electoral and ideological influence. The party is gearing up for the next round of assembly elections due early next year with renewed energy and vigour that it has derived from the recent electoral successes as well as the successes achieved by the Modi Government in the last two years."
