Labour Commissioner reviews registration process of Service providers for Yatra

Labour Commissioner, Vipra Bhal  today chaired a meeting of officers of the department to review the arrangements to be made by Labour Department for Shri Amarnathji Yatra here today.Among others, Deputy Labour Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Labour Commissioner Central, Assistant Labour Commissioner Ganderbal and Assistant Labour commissioner Anantnag attended the meeting.Addressing the meeting, the Labour Commissioner enjoined upon the concerned officers to ensure hassle free registration of the service providers as per the guidelines and norms, saying that they should not face any inconvenience on part of department.Threadbare discussion was held on various issues including registration of service providers including Pithoowalla/ Ponywalla/ Dandiwallas during the Yatra, verification of them from concerned police stations, issuance of laminated I-Cards to avoid any tempering and digitations of registration work to maintain proper record of them.The meeting was informed that the registration process of the service providers has been started from May 1st , 2016 at the District headquarters of Ganderbal and Anantnag district. From June 1st onwards, the registration process is going on at Sonamarg in district Ganderbal and at Pahalgam in Anantnag District, the meeting was informed and added that the Labour Department has devised a proforma for the registration of service providers   which has to be completed by the service provider.The meeting was informed that after proper verification of the service providers from the concerned police station, the department would issue laminated I-cards to avoid any tempering.  The department has also taken up the digitization of registration work to maintain proper record to ensure that the task is completed without duplication.The field functionaries assured the Labour Commissioner that they will provide prompt and hassle free registration and other services to the intending service providers as per the guidelines /norms.
