For the implementation of National Food Security Act, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar today convened a meeting with Assistant Directors (North/South) of CAPD and all Teshil Supply Officers (TSOs).Besides ADC Srinagar, the meeting was also attended by the concerned officers of allied department.The meeting was informed that door to door survey in accordance with the verification of check list of ration holders is going on with full swing.The Deputy Commissioner informed the meeting that implementation of NFSA shall usher an era of assured supply of highly subsidized rations to the deserving citizens of J&K at their doorstep in a transparent manner. He said that a consumer must know his rights and there is a dire need to create awareness among people about the National Food Security Act.While giving keen directions, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon all officers that the complete verification report along with the list must reach to his office within the time of one week.
