Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Spokesman and In-charge of party’s Punjab affairs, Sanjay Singh today accused NDA Government to save the culprits, who engineered the massacre of Sikhs in 1984 and claimed that Parkash Singh Badal and his family was also hand in glove with NDA for this saviour.He revealed that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has already written a letter to Prime Minister Narinder Modi to demand either the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the anti-Sikhs riots should be scrapped or it should be strengthened enough to take its investigation to the logical conclusion.“If NDA is not capable to initiate impartial probe, then the investigation should be handed over to Delhi Government”, he added.Accusing Punjab Government for creating hindrance on release the film, “Udta Punjab”, Sanjay Singh said that it is not the film, but ‘Drug Lord” Majithia, who has defamed the Punjab, by patronising drug network.Sanjay Singh accompanying with State Convenor of AAP, Sucha Singh Chhotepsur, Head of Legal Cell, Himmat Singh Shergil, AAP’s Spokesman Sukhpal Khaira, Senior leaders Yamini Gaumer,Head of the Industry and Trade Wing of the party Aman Arora and General Secretary Surinder Singh Rajpura and Farmers’ wing chief Karanvir Singh Tiwana, was talking to media at Chandigarh Press Club.
He claimed that as soon as Delhi Government constituted an SIT to probe massacre of Sikhs in 1984, NDA government swung into action to save culprits and deliberately scrapped the SIT of Delhi Government and re-constituted its own SIT, which remained ‘defunct’ so far. It was just an eye-wash to befool the victims of 1984 riots and an attempt to save the skin of Congress leaders, he alleged.Badals were hand-in-glove with Modi government, which could be evident from the fact that Cabinet Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal never pursued the issue in union cabinet, Sanjay Singh said.AAP’s Spokesman Sukhpal Khaira while referring to the information received under RTI Act, alleged that after politicising the issue of 1984 riots for so many years, Akalis and BJP, after coming into power at both Centre and State, are not at all serious on the issue.“Initially the deadline of the SIT constituted by Modi Government was only for six months, but conspicuously the deadline of the same was extended for another one year”, Khaira said alleging that BJP is also not interested to take the probe to its logical conclusion as it is suspected that RSS leaders were also involved in anti-Sikh riots in 1984.Training his guns towards Congress, Khaira demanded immediate resignation of PPCC Chief Captain Amarinder Singh as the latter has no moral right to continue in the Politics, as his son Raninder Singh was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in violation of FEMA.
