The Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, has nabbed a lineman of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited for accepting bribe of Rs.7,000.Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman of Vigilance Bureau said that Mr. Mangat Ram resident of Ferozepur had lodged a complaint against accused Bakhshish Singh posted at Ferozepur for demanding bribe. The complainant said that he approached the lineman to change the electricity supply of their motors to another feeder for which the lineman demanded the bribe of Rs.10,000. The deal was settled at Rs.7, 000.The spokesman further said that a trap was laid by the Vigilance Bureau, Ferozepur range and as a consequence Rs. 7,000 were recovered from the left pocket of lineman Bakhshish Singh. A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is under process.
