Debutant director Nelson Venkatesan says forthcoming Tamil drama "Oru Naal Koothu", a modern-day take on marriage, will be easily relatable to a majority of the audience."The story revolves around questions that arise when we talk about marriage. It will easily appeal to eight out of ten people in the audience. A decade or two ago people didn't fear when it came to marriage. However, wedding comes with a lot of stress nowadays and it all boils down to impressing people on the day of the marriage," Nelson told IANS.The film addresses marriage from the perspective of different people."The story is based on the experiences of many people from my own life.

When it comes to marriage, there are so many problems lately. People don't want to get their daughter married to a lawyer or to those working in the media. We've tried to touch upon such issues too in the film," he said.It stars Dinesh, Mia George, Nivetha Pethuraj, Ritwika and Karunakaran."Oru Naal Koothu", which releases in cinemas on Friday, happens to be Dinesh's first release after the National award-winning Tamil film "Visaaranai".Nelson said Dinesh found it difficult to detach himself from "Visaaranai", because the role in the film took a toll on him.

"He had a tiring time working on the film. After 'Visaaranai', he looked very tired and he took time to join the sets of my film. While we started shooting from March 2015, Dinesh joined us only in June. I wanted him to take enough time to rest," he said. The biggest challenge for Nelson was to ensure there was no hangover of Dinesh's character from "Visaaranai" in his film."We changed everything about Dinesh. He had to undergo personal grooming session and we even changed his hairstyle to ensure that he looked appealing. We hope audience will like the Dinesh they will see in the film," he added.Unlike his previous roles, Dinesh plays an urban character.

"He plays a guy from a small town who has shifted to a metropolitan. Although he plays an urban character, you can still find the essence of a small-town guy in his character and the way it's portrayed," he said.Nelson is all praise for his heroines - Mia, Nivetha and Ritwika."Mia plays an angelic character. She has done justice to her role. While Nivetha is a newcomer, you won't find any sign of that in the film. Ritwika is extremely talented and she pulled off a different role very convincingly," he explained.Produced by Selva Kumar, the film has music by Justin Prabhakaran.
