Senior Pro-Freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chief Zaffer Akbar Bhat called on AJK Jammt-e-Islami Chief Abdul Rasheed Turabi.According to a statement issued to KNS, duo met in the morning and discussed prevailing political situation viz-a-viz Kashmir dispute. During the meeting, Zaffer Akbar Bhat apprised AJK Jammt-e-Islami Chief about the grave human rights violations being perpetrated by the armed forces in Kashmir.Duo reaffirmed to continue political fight for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute.Meanwhile, in Srinagar Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement today held protest demo in Press conclave Srinagar to press for the unconditional release of political prisoners.Leader and activists of the party led by Molvi Rafiq Ahmad held forceful protest demonstration in press colony Srinagar and demanded immediate release of all political detainees lashing in Indian jails.He said that detainees are facing hardships and are languishing in jails since long despite having completed their terms. 

Rafiq criticized state administration for their callous and inhuman approach towards detainees said that hundreds of them are lodged in outside state jails and their families face immense hardships.He demanded unconditional release of all those political Kashmiri leaders lashing in Indian Jails from past thirty years particularly of those who completed their terms.Leaders expressed solidarity with the families of Kashmiri political prisoners lashing in Indian jails and asked International human rights bodies to take a strong note of problems prisoners face. They said that a majority of Kashmiri prisoners are being deprived of basic health facilities.

They in their appeal to all people and resistant groups called their immediate attention towards their families and said that month of Ramadan teaches us to take care of their families.They urged people to resist anti-Kashmir, anti-Muslim and anti-freedom struggle policies of BJP-RSS and other communal groups and asked human rights bodies to take strong note of such brutalities.Later a delegation comprising Zulfikar Hameed, Molvi Rafiq visited the residence of VOV coordinator Abdul Rouf Khan and condole the sad demise of his maternal aunt. They expressed sympathy with the bereaved family on behalf of Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat.Salvation Movement also expressed sympathy with Farooq builder and condole the sad demise of his sister.
