Bikram Singh Majithia, Revenue and Information & Public Relations Minister Punjab here today said that ‘India is on road to be Congress free’ and politically naïve Rahul Gandhi will be instrumental in the fall of Congress. He said that the earlier Rahul is appointed as the Congress President, the earlier will the doom befall on Congress Party.While addressing the local media in village Abdal of Majitha Constituency, after laying the foundation stone of the developmental projects and distributing grant worth Rs. 1.25 crore for the same, he said that ‘Rahul has never ever demonstrated intelligent and mature politics’. He said that many senior Congress leaders including Capt. Amrinder Singh have many a times passed comments on Rahul’s inability and politically infantile behavior. So much so that dozens of senior Congress leaders who have left the Party and the Assamese leader Hemant Biswas has also squarely blamed Rahul for the defeat of Congress Party.Mr. Majithia said that India will be soon rid of Congress which is now limited only to 5 states and 44 Lok Sabha members.
He said that the development of Punjab in various spheres during the 9 years of Akali-BJP rule is self evident, so beyond any doubt the pro-Punjab coalition will come into power in 2017 again for the third consecutive time.Coming down heavily upon the Aam Aadmi Party, Mr. Majithia said that would the outsiders now guide the Punjabis who by the dint of their bravery, intelligence and hard work have not only at National level but internationally established their unique identity? He said that Punjabis have produced food grains for the whole country and have made maximum contribution in the freedom struggle sans which the condition of the country would have been quite different. He said that it is comical that U.P. leaders like Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Thakur are trying to befool Punjabis by their low moves but Punjabis will definitely rethink about how to deal with them. He said that only a Punjabi can understand the feelings and the pain of a fellow Punjabi. He added that the hypocrisy of AAP and Kejriwal has already been evident in the SYL issue.Later, Mr. Majithia partook in the Antim Ardas of S. Seetal Singh, former Sarpach of village Bhoa, who had been a dedicated worker of Akali Dal.
